Abstract
Only in the last decade - since the establishment of the Memorial Day for the victims of terrorism in 2007 - arises the growing centrality of the victims in the Italian debate. The essay tries to explain the reasons for this delay, thirty years from the so called 'lead years' (1969-1987), and the various problems of social perception of the victims of this particular crime. Starting from the personal experience of the author, the Aiviter association's documentation, and the scarcity of scientific literature available, various forms of double victimization and victim blaming are highlighted and got in touch with mass-media, politics and the difficulty of exiting the conflict, because a lack of reconciliation process.
